Description

So, I've been an active member of Deviantart for little more than six months. Being that long, I've become quite attached to this site and many people who feel omnipresent on this platform. I kind of feel like an isolationist here because I don't push the social interaction aspect that should be there on a social network. It protects me from the more fickle and unsavory parts of the site, which has been ridiculed and shamed for what feels like ages. However, it also prevents me from having the full experience of the site itself. Despite maintaining a low profile, I have been drawn to many creators here that are inspired, independent, and kind hearted while also working through problems in their personal lives. So, I've got a cache of post-Christmas sketches to gift to a few peeps that have stuck out to me in my half-year reflection. This is like a way for me to keep notes in a way while also trying to show gratitude for being a force here(though it might come off as awkwardly worded).

Last gift for the year is for: PaintFeathers . Many a content creators flock to dA with an aspiration to create. Many succeed or fail while the world continues to spin on its axis. This project is one that I wholeheartedly support, but it wouldn't be the first. Upon first impressions, I was reminded of the online project Growing Around, a would be animated pilot produced by a rather "famous" writer/reviewer. To me, GA has come a long way, but it tends to be emotionally built off of a need to be "right"; the idea itself was born from a desire to correct a failed Disney short/pilot, which solicited a lot of praise and bashing for its ambition right off the bat. When I see the Paint Feathers project in action, I see a lot of support and positive vibes given both ways, which is always a plus for such a project.

I'm not gonna lie, I'm not buried deep within the lore, so I don't fully understand what's going on in the storyline. I find myself coming back every few nights just to read more of the materials; the characters and art direction set up already make this something that needs to be revisited a lot because it grabs you in the right ways. Like, reading the description for Almanzo's reference sheet may mystify him to me more, but in a good way. It forces me to really think through what I've seen and analyze my initial perceptions(for some reason he reminded me of the modern Onceler IDEK why XD). Anyway, it seems that you're attached by the hip to this and I back it 100%; I hope you find everyone and everything you need, most important perhaps being the drive to continue. Study hard, execute well, and you'll product will fly.
Started 12/28 and finished 12/31.
